Paying tribute to the cinematic athmosphere of Ingrid Bergman and Rosselini, this image was shot in 1995 for Marie Claire in the Aeolian Islands, off the north coast of Sicily.

On the deserted seashore, a woman just comes out of the water; she is cold and her body shakes slightly. She does not dry herself. In the detached camera of the photographer, she seems fragile and vulnerable.
