This black and white photography features the artist, English singer, musician and actor David Bowie, smoking a cigarette and holding a vintage cassette tape recorder with dyed red hair and a mustard yellow suit designed by Freddie Burretti, photographed for a magazine in Los Angeles, 1974. 

This image was featured in the Moonage Daydream documentary in 2022.

The friendship between Terry O'Neill and David Bowie lasted over 20 years, marked by a shared love of art and music and a deep mutual respect and appreciation for each other's talent.
