MIDNIGHT IN THE JUNGLE IV

MIDNIGHT IN THE JUNGLE IV

from $1,200.00

PHOTOGRAPHER: CHIRON DUONG

Shot in 2020 This image is part of a series about the boundary between real and unreal, between color and colorless. The boundaries between fantasy and reality merge, creating the intersection between photography and painting. During the pandemic mandated quarantine, Duong used dolls for shooting. He found the connection between the real person and the imaginary through motion blur. A world that is not real but can also be real. The series combines handcrafted paper art and costumes made by Chiron Duong with modern photography techniques in Asian-inspired colors. This set of photos bring documentary, when placed in the context of a social moment (social isolation during the 2019-2021 covid outbreak) and pose a problem for fashion and art photography working conditions at home. The images convey the relationship between people. The philosophy of balance and sustainability of nature and ultimately, humans psychological and physiological interaction with nature.
